DipFinch/Clip to MP3
Android app · FreeClip to MP3. Your videos, now MP3s.
Turn your own videos into MP3s, right on your phone. Clip to MP3 is private and works fully offline: the app doesn't request internet access, so your files never leave your device.
- No internet permission
- No ads
- No account
- No tracking
A converter and a music player in one.
Make audio from the videos you've recorded, then listen with playlists, shuffle, and lock-screen controls.
Concerts you filmed
Listen again on the go.
Family clips
A birthday toast, or a grandparent telling a story.
Voice memos
Interviews and notes you recorded on video.
Lectures and talks
Classes you filmed, for a walk or a commute.
Convert in a few taps
Pick videos with Android's own picker, or share them from your gallery or file manager.
- Works with common video files such as MP4, MOV, 3GP, MKV, and WebM
- Optional trim: keep just the part you want
- Choose the quality: Standard (128 kbps), High (192 kbps), or Best (320 kbps)
- See an estimated file size before you convert
- Batch convert several videos at once, with progress in the notification shade
- Rename before you save. MP3s go to Music/Clip to MP3, so other music and file apps can see them too
A real music player
Your library of MP3s in one place, ready to play.
- Playlists you can create, rename, and reorder
- Shuffle, repeat, and Next/Previous that wrap around the list
- Lock-screen and notification controls with cover art and a progress bar
- Keeps playing when you switch apps or turn off the screen
- "Add songs from phone" plays MP3s and other audio already on your device, without copying them
Keep things tidy
Rename and share your MP3s. Delete with Undo, in case you change your mind. Removing a song you added from your phone never deletes your original file.
Quality you choose
Conversion uses Android's built-in media tools and the open-source LAME MP3 encoder, right on your phone.

Good to know
Does Clip to MP3 need an internet connection?
No. The app doesn't request internet access at all. Converting and playing happen entirely on your phone.
Where are my MP3s saved?
In your phone's Music folder, in Music/Clip to MP3. They also show up in your file manager and other music apps. Uninstalling the app doesn't delete them.
Which permissions does it ask for?
Only notifications, to show conversion progress and playback controls. You can say no and converting still works. The app doesn't ask for access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, or your whole photo or music library.
Can I play songs I already have?
Yes. Use "Add songs from phone" to pick MP3s and other audio files with Android's file picker and add them to playlists. Nothing is copied, and removing a song from the app never deletes your original.
Which videos can I convert?
Common video files such as MP4, MOV, 3GP, MKV, and WebM. Please convert only videos you own or have the rights to use.
